2018 – Burma (Myanmar)

Well, what can I say – I still haven’t got the final route, so I can’t publish it at this time….

 

However, the dates are set in stone(ish!) – and most of us have got our flights sorted…..

 

…… for anyone newly arriving on this page who wants to come along, you’ll need to be in Yangon (Rangoon) on the weekend of 17th March 2018, and the actual meeting point will be anounced in the Members’ Area when it is known.

 

The main body of adventurers are flying out to arrive on Friday 16th March, and are having a quick beer in Hong Kong on the way…. others are flying in from Germany and Switzerland via Bangkok.

We will meet up with our local fixer in Yangon, and after a swift beer or so, and time to acclimatise, it’s the train to Mandalay where we will have our bikes waiting.

 

And that is where the adventure begins.

 

2 weeks later, we end up where we started, and go our seperate ways – there are a choice of route endings to accomodate differing flights home.

 

Oh, and it goes without saying, there will be a ‘Dress Code’ for the formal ocassions during the adventure – suitable forfeits for those not complying will be anounced ad hoc…..
